Another £2000 win!

One of the Good Causes of the North Somerset Community Lottery is the MV
Balmoral. This is a vintage excursion ship owned by the MV Balmoral Fund Limited,
a preservation charity. The Balmoral is included on the National Historic Ships
register part of the National Historic Fleet.The Balmoral offers social, community and educational opportunities in the Bristol Harbour.

This charity has been part of the North Somerset Community Lottery for nearly 3
years and their small group of supporters have helped them to achieve an income of
over £2.5k to date, which is a massive help in providing the resources they need to
continue with this amazing work.

VANS was delighted to learn recently that one of their supporters had won £2k! So,
on a beautiful sunny day in Bristol, Bernie Micklewright, Volunteering Development
Manager for VANS, paid a visit to the charity to see at first hand what they do and to
present the winners cheque to representatives of the charity – Dave Bassett and
other members of the Balmoral crew.

This is only the second time that the NS Community Lottery has had a £2k winner.
